Weight Loss Ticker...
I am going to be brave and bold and just put it right there at the top of the blog. My high weight is 379, today i weight 376, so from my high weight i've lost a grand total of 3 lbs, whoopty doo. That is precisely why i am having weight loss surgery, i cannot do this on my own, i have tried, and tried and tried again. So here we go, here's to hoping it moves down the line a lot in the next few months. I put my "goal" in as 199, the doctor has not set any definate goal for me, but 199 sounds like a nice number for now. "Normal" as far as BMI is concerned would actually be like 165, i just don't forsee me ever being there. So for now it will stay 199.

I can relate to what you're saying about "normal" BMI. My normal range is the same as yours (makes sense, same height), but even when I was skinny in high school I weighed a bit more than that. It's nuts. The nutritionist that I went to said that BMI is fatally flawed, because it only takes into account your height, weight and gender - nothing about body composition, actual fat vs. muscle percentage, and just how much fat your body likes to have. I have thought of that many times on my weight loss journey, and I wanted to share it with you. It keeps me motivated to just get healthier, not shoot for some perfect number that knows nothing about ME.
