165 lbs & 18 months

18 months ago i took the biggest leap of my life and went under the "knife". Today here i sit 165 lbs lighter! Unbelievable that just a short time ago i was so incredibly unhealthy and unhappy. In those 18 months i have gained too, gained so many wonderful things. The biggest of course being a healthier body. But then there's the new member to our family too. The self confidence i'm feeling is also right up there on the list of big accomplishments.
Hard to believe that i can go to an exercise class now, and keep up. That I can take a long walk without feeling sore for days. That i can run after my daughter!!! All of these things would never have been possible without the gift of life I gave myself just 18 months ago.
Weight loss surgery isn't for everyone. I don't preach to every overweight person out there that they should have the surgery. BUT, if asked i do tell everyone it's the best decision i ever made. Weight loss surgery is a tool, it's not a miracle. I've worked hard for this weight loss and will continue to work hard to accomplish more and more goals. It's been a life change, that's what it's supposed to be. No magic going on here!
